On April 1, 2019, the Arabic Union Catalog commenced its training courses in the capital city of Tunis. The AUC organized these courses on the sidelines of the ninth meeting of its members. Three training courses were conducted this morning, with the bibliographic cataloging approach for books being held in two groups. The first group was conducted at the Maghreb Library in Ben Arous with the collaboration of the General Reading Administration and the Library and Book Revival Association. The second group was held at the Higher Institute of Documentation in Manouba. The third course, titled "Cataloging Heritage Books according to RDA rules," was conducted at the National Library of Tunisia. The Arabic Union Catalog is holding training courses in Tunisia for library and information science professionals to improve their expertise.

The courses have been well attended by Tunisian and Arab librarians who specialize in cataloging and information organization. It's important to mention that the lectures will run until Wednesday afternoon, and once they're finished, the participants will receive participation certificates from the Arabic Union Catalog Center administration..
